1. Who we are

WorldJobsData ("we", "us", "our") is an independent project. This policy explains what information we collect when you use worldjobsdata.com and what we do with it.

2. What we collect

2.1 Information you give us voluntarily

The only personal information we collect is what you choose to provide:

  • Email address - when you sign up for updates or product news
  • Name, email, and message - when you contact us via the contact form
  • Optional profile details - profession, country, and interests, if you choose to share them when signing up

None of this is required to use the tool. You can explore all 206 countries without giving us anything.

2.2 Anonymous usage data

To understand how the tool is used and improve it, we collect anonymous, aggregate data that cannot identify you personally. This includes general information such as which features are used, approximate browser type, and general geographic region (country level only, never precise location).

We use two privacy-focused analytics services for this purpose, both operating without advertising cookies and without building personal profiles. You can opt out by clicking "Decline" on our cookie notice.

2.3 What we do NOT collect

  • No advertising trackers or cross-site tracking
  • No precise location data
  • No access to your camera, microphone, contacts, or files
  • No advertising profiles of any kind
  • No data from children under 13

3. How we use your information

We use information only for the purpose it was given:

  • Email addresses - to send the updates you asked for. We send infrequently, at most a few times per year.
  • Contact messages - to reply to your enquiry
  • Anonymous usage data - to understand which features and countries are most valuable so we can improve the tool

We do not use your information for advertising, automated decision-making, or profiling.

4. Service providers

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We work with a small set of trusted service providers to operate the site. Each provider processes data only as instructed by us and is bound by data-processing agreements:

  • Database & storage provider - securely stores email addresses and contact-form messages, encrypted at rest, with EU-compatible data processing standards. Provider privacy policy →

We may disclose information if required by law, but only what is legally necessary.

5. Cookies and browser storage

We use a small number of browser storage entries to make the site work properly. We do not use advertising cookies.

  • Preferences storage - remembers your bookmarked countries and whether you have acknowledged our cookie notice. Stored locally in your browser and never sent to our servers.
  • Form state storage - remembers whether you have already submitted a form, so we do not ask again. Stored locally only.
  • Anonymous analytics token - if you accept cookies, a randomly generated identifier (containing no personal information) is stored locally to link events within a single session for aggregate analysis only. Clicking "Decline" prevents this from being created.

You can remove all stored data at any time by clearing your browser's storage for worldjobsdata.com.

6. How long we keep data

We keep information you submit for as long as we are operating the service, or until you ask us to delete it. Anonymous analytics are retained in aggregate form only, with no link to individual visitors.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us with the email address you used. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Security

We apply industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, encrypted storage at rest, and strict access controls. We take data protection seriously and review our practices regularly.

9. International transfers

WorldJobsData operates globally. Information you submit may be stored and processed in a country other than your own. We use providers that comply with recognised international data-transfer frameworks.

10. Children

This service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version. Significant changes will be noted on the homepage.
