How to read this
What the score actually measures
Each country score is a weighted average of AI exposure across all occupation groups in that country's workforce. A country with a large share of clerical and professional workers - the two highest-risk groups - will score higher than a country dominated by agricultural and craft workers.
The score does not measure how advanced a country's AI adoption is. It measures how exposed the existing workforce is if AI deployment reaches the levels researchers project by 2028. A high score is not inevitable - it depends on deployment speed, regulation, and how quickly workers can reskill.
Data source: ILO ILOSTAT labour force surveys, ISCO-08 classification, AI exposure scores derived from Felten, Raj, and Seamans (2018) and cross-validated against BLS O*NET task data. All scores on a 0-10 scale.
