How the AI job risk score works

Each job title is matched to an ISCO-08 occupation group, the International Labour Organization's standard job classification. Every group has an AI exposure score from 1 (low) to 10 (high). Employment counts for your country come from national statistics agencies via ILO ILOSTAT (CC BY 4.0), and the World Bank and UNDP for economy context.

The scores are model-estimated. They come from a language-model assessment of what AI can do with the tasks in each group, not from measured job losses, and the same group has the same score in every country. What changes by country is how many workers are in each group. Read the full methodology and limits.

Questions

What does an AI risk score of 8 mean?

It means the tasks in that occupation group are ones current AI systems handle well, such as drafting, data entry and classification. It is a measure of exposure, not a forecast that those jobs will be lost.

Is the score specific to my country?

No. The score belongs to the occupation group and is the same everywhere. The country view shows how many workers in your country are in that group and how it compares with other groups.

Where does the data come from?

Employment counts come from ILO ILOSTAT and national statistics agencies. Exposure scores are WorldJobsData's own model-based estimates.

Do you store the job title I type?

Not for the standard lookup: it runs in your browser and the title is not sent to us. If you are signed in and use AI matching, the title is sent to an AI provider to find the closest group. If you ask for country updates by email, we store your email address, your country and the occupation group. See the privacy policy.
